Whitefish River Blink

Yup, that's it, she replied, sort of acting like it was final. Really, though, she just didn't want to have someone watching her. It interfered with her plots. How was she supposed to hide if there was some guy just like standing there being all lame? As soon as his back was turned, there was a scuttling noise... What was it? Nutmeg absolutely bolting for cover farther away. A thick, hedgelike bush was her target, diving underneath and squirting through to the other side.  But she stopped there -- for now, at least, crouching down to peer underneath just enough to see if paws were heading her way.

That was at least kind of exciting -- either she was gonna get away and go back to what she was planning, or if she got chased, maybe it'd be fun to try and ditch him.
