The weight would not be too much for the four of them, yet he just couldn't figure out how on earth four wolves could carry a body that way. On that note, he knew he wouldn't want to drag Sun Spark's body like a deer carcass. He deserved a more dignified sendoff than that.

"Willow," he said softly, "I'm the largest and strongest here. I'm going to crouch, then you three drape him over my shoulders. I can carry him. It won't work any other way." Rigor mortis wouldn't set in for another hour or so, so as long as they did it now, Sun Spark would rest like dead weight and Peregrine would happily bear his sacred burden to the back of the plateau.
