Calida was grateful when the other wolf took a few steps back, and slowly, she began to relax. She listened as the wolf spoke about Moonglow hunters, and she asked, "Are there many packs in the area?" Calida had been lucky enough so far to not accidentally wander onto claimed land, and she wanted to keep it that way. Then, the other wolf introduced herself as Lane - leader of one of the nearby packs.

Calida had no idea what the proper etiquette was for greeting a pack leader, but she tried; she bowed her head for a moment, then said, "It's nice to meet you. I've not run into a pack in... well, ever." No, she'd always kept to herself, ever a wanderer. She'd never given any thought to joining a pack - it was a strange and foreign concept to Calida.
