"You too, Ragnar," Peregrine replied genuinely. Like Ragnar, Peregrine didn't place much value on relationships outside of his ranks. The Scandinavian and his family were one of the rare exceptions. He could never forget what they'd done for Junior. Those few weeks when he'd thought her dead had been devastating. Without Ragnar and Thistle, he would've been bereft of his daughter for his entire life instead of just a few miserable weeks.

"Safe travels, friend. Give my regards to your wife and children," the swarthier Alpha said, dipping his muzzle respectfully. He waited for the scarred male to turn and go, then watched for a moment before turning and heading back up to the plateau proper.
