He had left Sakhmet behind him with the promise that he would return within a week's time. He was making his way to the coast when he found his way blocked by a ravine. Water rushed past at the bottom of the ravine; Cerne licked his lips. He was quite thirsty.
He turned then, to carefully work his way down to the bottom of the gorge. He followed the water for some time, sloshing through it, as there wasn't much dry land available. Eventually, he came to find a fissure in the ravine wall, and upon closer inspection, he found something quite marvelous — a polished but rough obsidian orb, almost perfectly spherical. How it came to be here, he had no clue. He picked it up in his jaws — it was very heavy, and then began his slow ascent out of the ravine. This would be a perfect scrying tool for later use.
