Sorry if my posts seem a little all over the place, it's been hard to write lately...

Bane wasn't a protective wolf by nature, but there was something about the woods that made him want to make sure everyone knew that if you were not invited, Blackfeather wasn't the place to be if you didn't want trouble with him. Meldresi had offered a safe place to live, and more important than that she had offered a place to belong, so just being in the darkness of his new home made him feel at ease, it made him feel comfortable, something he wasn't used to but was willing to protect at any cost, there is a first time for everything.
