Her ears flicked.  Not an order then, but a suggestion of strategy.  Flecha did not entirely disagree but did wonder about the usefulness of the advice, for it did not go far enough in her mind.

More scouting is needed.  We need to know how they move and when, and which of these packs know the others.  The ones I spoke with were not threats.  They had been further away, however.  The ones closest she had left to those that settled the valley.  Perhaps she needed to go of her own accord and see what there was to be found.

As with her mother before her, she was both scout and hunter too.  She felt pinioned by borders when enemies surrounded them.  It would be good to know the lay of the land and the ways to circumvent their surroundings.
