The slender she-wolf listened intently to what Taltos was saying, a glint in her eye that did not betray her actions. She genuinely was engrossed in the words that the steely orbed wolf was speaking, and Falwasi did not try to disguise it.

The dark male was clearly knowledgeable on the subject — the detail in which he spoke in was profound, and there was one word that Falwasi had heard of once of twice before... in myths. "A witch?" She breathed, eyebrows furrowed in confusion, "I have only heard of those in tales." The girl clarified, more for herself rather than for Taltos. She had never believed in witches, and she now found it hard to accept that the male was being deliberate about it.

Then Lasher explained to the grizzled wolf that there must have been a reason for him being given a body, and if there wasn't, he absolutely held a spirit's memory. He was 'a wielder of storms and rain', as he put it. It was slightly bizarre, and if Falwasi thought it was difficult to try and understand him then, it was even more challenging now. She was a 'seeing is believing' kind of wolf, and once she saw with her own eyes, understanding came to her easily. As Taltos spoke, he seemed to doze off slightly, giving Falwasi a chance to process it all. And then it suddenly hit her, as to why the two subjects — spirits and witches — were related.

"Witches subpoena the spirits..." She said quietly, a mix of a whisper and a mumble. Again, she was confirming more for herself rather than for her compeer.
