When Pruina first stepped onto Teekon lands, it was an experience accompanied by thoughts of loneliness. She didn’t feel lonely, not at all though; she had always felt like there was somebody walking by her side: the trees, the birds, the sky and the first beams of sun in the morning. The grass, the blooming flowers and the rats running away from her were parts of it. So much more included but not possible to mention all.

Why was it then that the wolves who weren’t members of a pack were called loners? Nature kept them company. They didn’t need species of their kind to be labeled as social which is why Pruina found the tag a little funny.

The area she arrived in smelled like spring. No sign of the lovely blooming flowers around yet, however even now she could tell it was a question of time before those break their way through the dirt. The ocean was maybe a little too far away, yet her nose could tell a low tide approached. The corners of her mouth lifted up a little and a smile took over her expression.

This time of the year was Pruina’s favorite; she really couldn’t get enough of it.

Luckily no sign of wolves around spoke to her and therefore gave a free pass to explore the first-time visited land. What made her a little sad was the inability to properly observe what was happening around her. A shade covered her eyes and coated her eyeballs in gray: a layer she couldn’t take off. It almost made the lady upset but then she was reminded to not be affected by what was out of her control. Those other senses she was gifted with permitted her to inspect further.

Her ears listened to the ruffling of leaves wind played with. Her tongue could taste the salmon from the nearby river and her paws told her she was on dry grass and not in the mud. Her nose caught on the aroma of the rabbits and the smell of leaves. When she bent over and pressed her snot to the ground, the fragrance of the yet unborn dandelions sweetened and stroked her warm.

It made her a little excited for the time when her eyes will no longer serve and the scents will intensify.

Looking up again, the wind brushed her fur through and softened it. The clouds appeared blurry and grey so her eyelids covered her sight of hers in a warm blanket to keep them safe.

The Tekkon lands happened to be so lovely that Pruina decided to stay around for a while longer than intentionally planned.
