Emberwood Total Eclipse

Thanks for letting me know! Appreciate it, am new to this site, still figuring stuff out haha. Hopefully this is better?

Black-tipped ears would swivel to each noise on the breeze, were it the chattering of songbirds above or the idle scampering of rodents along the earth, she kept herself well attuned to the nature of her surroundings. One noise however, would captivate her more than the rest; the crunching of leaves suggested an intrusion beyond just rambunctious squirrels. A pursuer from her homelands, perhaps? She'd halt her pace to scower the area before her, head lowered and ears pinned back. She bore a defensive glare, flame-touched and perceptive.

It was not the scent of the masked woman she'd come across before, no, this one was different.

..Who's there? I'd rather not fight, if it is unnecessary. She attests to the empty air, sullen and smooth-toned, the words fall like honey from steel jaws. She'd prepare herself regardless, ready for whatever would come to pass.
