The name meant nothing to him, but he tucked it away in his mind, in case he heard it later. Greyjoy knew nothing of any Ostregas, and of course the name "ma" wasn't a unique one. Everyone had a "ma" and Greyjoy didn't fault the boy for only knowing that much about her. The last name was helpful, but since he didn't recognize it, it wasn't entirely useful at the moment.

When the boy asked if he could take him home, Greyjoy's heart saddened. It would be a violation of their laws if he did so without permission, and Greyjoy was not a man to go against the rules. "If Aktaie permits it, I will take you home." He knew Caiaphas had captured the boy, but Greyjoy didn't know if anybody outside the Sound knew that. Did his family consider him dead? He surely hoped not, but he also hoped that they didn't have an inkling of where he went. War would not be prudent at the present time. "Are you hungry? I could catch you something to eat. Fish, maybe?"
