Esperanza smiled kindly to him. He was her superior, he did not have to apologize for anything rather than worry about his pack mate. She understood the emotions that had surrounded him that day, and she did not wish to him to apologize to her as she pushed the pheasant back to him. "You do not have to apologize for anything. If anything, I was being stupid watching Dovev's wound get worse. There is no need for apology, what's done is done, and the past is in the past. You are higher rank than me, so I should just take the yell and accept it, rather than cower like a pup that had just seen a bear for the first time. I know better than to just cry about it, I accept it and continue on with my duty." Everything Esperanza had explained to him was true, for she had learned from her old family these methods, and besides, she was young and always been told off by an adult, she was used to it and that's what made her learn even more.
