With ears drawn back, she looked away from the girl - feeling hurt - and yet her mind tried to reason all of this at the same time. The girl was still young, she wasn't to blame, that she would get over it, learn to accept, what had happened, and see it from a different perspective. But with all of this the pain didn't go away.
