Something was very wrong with Junior. The renamed Grasshopper McProlapse stared at her - which wasn't in itself unusual, he did a lot of staring - but this was not of the vacant, disinterested variety. She frightened him. Or rather, the state of her frightened him - darkness made it difficult to see the extent of the damage, but Pura (McProlapse) could smell and still taste that something wasn't as it should be.
