Neverwinter Forest Ruthlessness is Mercy upon ourselves

The bounty hunter peeled back his lips, his hackles rising as the man turn silent looks on them both. The threat display was automatic, spurred by a threat he felt to himself and Seastorm as the man failed to lift his voice.

"You won't call for her?" Catamaran said to the man's back as he turned. The words were — not quite taunting, but something near it. It felt he'd caught the stranger in a lie, and his drive to protect Seastorm twisted this into a real and present danger. One he ought to do something about.

Silent, slinking steps swept him swiftly in the stranger's wake. His teeth ached to sink into flesh. He held himself back, determined only to give chase, for now. He would bring the scent back to Seastorm to see if she recognized it.

If not — he was after some other girl. But Catamaran had concluded that he meant someone harm.
