It was now that she had left the island in the sea. After reaching a dead end there she took her search back to the mainland with @Cassian in tow, she and he would find company in each other. They were two wolves in a big world.

The sun had been slowly rising over the horizon when she made contact with the sandy coastline. She glanced back at her travel buddy and then laid her nose to the ground in one final effort to find even a single trace of a scent. She breathed it in, a scent! A vaguely familiar scent, followed by a cry in the distance. It was distressed, and pained in a depressive manner.

The good samaritan in her ran after it, hoping to find out who this character was and if their scent was indeed what she smelled. She stood on the crest of a freely flowing hill dotted with sea grass, slowly looking around.

She saw the figure curled upon the ground, and called out to him. “Lift your head!” She wished to see the face of this man in despair. Was it…. Could it have been?
