Her teeth grazed the thick fur at his throat, and with a fierce push from her hind legs, she shifted his weight just enough to unbalance him.

For a moment, his broad frame wavered, his paws scrabbling against the snowy ground as he tried to correct himself. But Pangur was relentless. With one final, well-placed shove, she succeeded in toppling him backward.

He let out a sharp grunt as his side hit the snow, the cold biting through his thick fur. For a moment, he just lay there, blinking up at the night sky, his chest rising and falling with heavy breaths. Then, a low chuckle rumbled from deep within him, growing into a full, gruff laugh.

“Hah! Little fox!” he barked, his amber eyes glinting with amusement. “You did it. You got bear.”
