Zyraena watched Sialuk’s practiced movements, her eyes following the preparation of the herbs with a quiet focus. There was a calmness in the way the sage worked, a steadiness that Zyraena found herself drawn to.

The air was thick with the scent of herbs and meat, and though it was foreign, it seemed to settle her nerves, if only slightly.

She moved toward the offering, the promise of rest and respite tempting her to let go of the anxiety that had gripped her since Liora’s disappearance. Zyraena bent her head to the meat, taking small, careful bites. The herbs, though strange, carried a soothing effect on her mind.

With each bite, she felt her tension ease, the tightness in her chest loosening. Zyraena slowly lay down beside the offering, her body sinking into the soft ground of the ulaq. The warmth from the meal and the quiet of the place wrapped around her like a gentle embrace.
