Raven's Watch scaring me

Chaudry was a man suited to the mountains, able to travel them with ease and relative speed. He knew well that he was a unique creature; superior, powerful. The absence of maman called him back to the vale, and yet his duties told him to wander. His distance from the pack spoke of which voice had won.

A smaller wolf, ravens practically pecking away at him already. The sight was nearly amusing and so for some time he followed at a distance, but in time maman's voice rung in his ear. 'Be kind Chaudry, leave the harsh life of the peaks behind'. His brow furrowed, but with a short-lived growl he moved forward.

A sharp, loud bark intended to scare the birds off sounded as he approached, his head held high. You look troubled, mon ami. He spoke, standing at a respectable distance.
