Pangur ran circles around the elk, bit and dragged when there was an opening to do so, but mostly she took care to keep the cow flustered with her movements, keep her eyes darting around and her body unsure where to land its strikes. Solharr's form bearing down on the side dragged her further and further down, it was between them now to outlast the fight in the cow.

Persistence was a game they could not lose, and exhaustion was beginning to wear on her. Pangur took the opportunity to get a little more bold, and sunk her teeth into the thick skin of the cow's neck, intent on dragging her front half down. If she could leave firm punctures, suffocation would speed the process all that much more.
