Neverwinter Forest rikkefaul

she'd not come for the pools, but rather it was the perfume of steeped herbs that lured her about the veiled water. she is heedful in her steps, slow, purposeful. she searched for what she did not know — though what or whom that was she could not yet say. 

a breeze led her west where a wading pool trickled to the gentle sound of a creek. it is here the nymph lingers along the shoreline, paws teasing to touch the chilled water. for a moment she dares to do so, but a shimmer of her reflection bounds her to a locked stare. a ray of sunlight glimmers through the haze, pulling her from the water's edge and pushing her onward. 

in the distance there is a flash of cream and gold glittering across the rippled surface and so she bounds for it, heart thrumming in the thought that she might be so fortune to steal a glance of a water nymph.
