tamasi lingered at the edge of the gathering, head bowed, but mostly to keep her eyes from straying judgementally. she had no love for ceremonies, no reverence for the divine—most of all, no loyalty to this kingdom.
but nokht’s arrival managed to draw her attention; still, she didn’t move to greet him, else interrupt the ceremony, but instead pressed her side into his reassuringly. her gaze flicked to racharra and then to samirseti; she felt meaning in their words, of course—who wouldn't? yet... she didn’t believe it.
gods didn’t grant strength.
when the ceremony ended, and nokht began to slip away, his head low, tamasi hesitated for only a moment before moving after him.
