Blacktail Deer Plateau Sweet Thinking

It was with heavy heart that Blue stood looking down over the outskirts of the plateau. Her adopted daughter had been gone, and it had not been a good goodbye. It actually hurt to think about it. She was having a fairly good day today, sickness wise. She wasn't throwing up or super fatigued, but she knew it was only a matter of time before she was again. She shifted her weight and sat down, curling her dark plume over her paws.

Lifting her muzzle into the air she sniffed around a bit and then shaking her head she merely sat and passed the time. She smiled gently, for as she sat she thought and though her heart was heavy and sadness was apparent, she still held happiness within her breast. For the little lives that grew in her womb.
