he knew she knew what she had been doing, and she loved it. loved watching his eyes glaze over and the creases form in his forehead, loved hearing that sharp husky inhale that spoke a thousand words for him. she loved watching him work.

oh, Gods, he was dangerous.

he began to pull himself further away and yet she held that coy, innocent look, that sweet little grin with the dimples and the fluttering of long white lashes. she wanted him around her finger. she would be damned if she didn't get it.

but, admittedly, the pelt was a nice offering in place of what she really wanted.

she admired it for a while, that soft look returning to her features, before she finally turned her gaze back to him. you can deny it all you want.

after she finished eating that night, she spoke to the moon.
