Envy took to the place quickly, bringing back whatever she could scrounge from below the snow, taking advantage of the areas where the canopy branches grew so thick, it blotted out the pale sky above and cloaked the sections below in a dark, swallowing abyss. It was there that she looked for softer soil and opportunistic little sprouts, leaving some so that she might check up on them as the days went on.

She took to the tasks quickly, keeping herself busy busy busy. She wouldn't let anything ruin this for her. She returned with paws caked in morass mud, quickly trotting to a puddle to wash the dirt from once pearly forelimbs.

It washed away like the red did, too. She watched, lost for a moment.
