kalyska does not shy away from his gaze, though there is a cool, measured amusement in the way she holds herself. bold, he calls her—perhaps. but boldness is not reckless.  

her ears twitch at his words, and for a moment, silence stretches between them, save for the whisper of wind through the trees. then, with deliberate ease, she tilts her head, hazel eyes catching the faint light as they study him in turn.  

would you? she muses, voice smooth, unhurried. or do you only like idea of regret? 

there is no challenge in her tone, only quiet intrigue, as if weighing the worth of this test he offers. a flick of her tail, a slight shift of weight—small gestures, but ones that say she will not be so easily drawn in by a grin and sharpened words alone.
