she did not mind the cold. it bit, it burned, but it was a familiar pain. a clean pain. nothing like the wounds of the past, the kind that festered beneath the skin, invisible but never gone.
she stepped carefully, claws scraping against the ice, testing the ground beneath her paws. the glacier was alive beneath her—groaning, shifting, deep fractures running like veins through its frozen heart. she listened, wary but unafraid.
this place was unforgiving. good.
