He sees the look in her eye. Shame floods him even as she draws close and he feels her breath on his face, her paw on his throat. She asks a simple question, and before he can answer, another red wolf charges him with fury, demanding his departure.
"Bruno," he croaks out, his voice altered by the paw against his vocal cords. His eyes whip wildly between the two attackers, confusion and fear replacing the pain and pleasure that had made up his expression only moments before.
