He responded to the best of his ability, hoping she would understand his meaning, for he did not know the word for 'yes'. Kizuato turned towards the river, watching the waters with interest, searching for any flicker of movement, but careful to keep his shadow away from the river. He exaggerated the fact, purposefully moving his shadow on the creek, then pulling it away for her sake.
