In this land, she had laid to rest the heirloom of her mother, woven into Heimtre's roots, it should've kept her here, should've ushered some protest to her lips, but none would come, she trusted in his decisions, more than any other.
In the time she had spent in this grove, watching the moonflowers bloom, weaving together the makings of a splendid feast, a remarkable wedding, she had come to realize something. It was never the place, but the people who lived here. That was Forneskja, in all its heart, so it did not matter that they would leave the forest behind. It did not matter what corners of the earth they went to.
She thought perhaps, that leaving behind her lucky charm might have brought Callyope home.
The gods give, but they also take away. Still, Pangur found her own heart wavering at the injustice of it all. The weight was a heavy one.
