Hushed Willows the revelation

Siofra's golden irises briefly followed the madam's words as they drifted eastward. A hum of approval sounded from her throat. That feathery tone of voice, the way she carried herself with such certainty... the opposing woman reminded her of the very ones she once strived to imitate.

The oracle took a step forth, and her attention was lassoed back to her situation. She gave a flick of an ear. It was a perfectly reasonable question to ask. But Siofra had been relinquished from all duties, and she hadn't quite assimilated herself to the concept of doing things simply because 'she desired to'. It was a foreign idea that she continued to deny. And so, she would craft a reason, one that didn't hold the weight of true responsibility, but still a reason.

A forced gripped her heart, preventing her from blurting out a lie motivated by a want for confidentiality. But perhaps she could offer a partial truth...

"I seek a sense of direction. It's easier to tell north from south without trees and mountains blocking your view." Perhaps not the full story, but it would suffice. The earthly maiden pondered whether the one which stood before her-- the stranger--  could see through her facade. Those eyes...they spoke of great perception, and it made her feel bare. Few could truly make her feel such a way. It was a dangerous feeling. Danger had a habit of following the footsteps of uncertainty.

And so, the wanderer would reflect the focus onto the canine forged from light, something she couldn't help but ask given her past encounters...
"Forgive me for asking-- are these lands occupied by any chance?~"
