Beginning to settle after her hunt with Faust, Dione thought it fair that she should explore the territory she was now presumably to take part in maintaining. She had never been a part of a pack before Darukaal, not one like this. It was not the family packs she was used to; easy to dominate, easy to grow.

But nonetheless, she was content. She would remain to see where things with Faust led, until her heat came or her interest was lost. She was due, surely, but with no mate to accompany her this year she had no interest in carrying children - it was better to isolate once more to avoid any mistakes. She had seen how Calfuray fared on her own, before Dione found her, and it had put her off of handling motherhood on her own forever. Only one pup of four left. Or had it been five? She supposed it didn't matter anymore; she and Cal were long seperated, and the woman had more than likely gotten herself knocked up again since then. Maybe more had survived her second time around.

Pausing in a meadow, she took a moment to fall into a cat-like stretch of her back. The sun was beginning to set overhead; it was a lovely sight.
