Two Eyes Cenote Where history and future meet

The feeling of being watched did not retreat, but at least the one-eyed wolf had. Perhaps—if Odessia had some kind of connection with her prior—she would have felt some kind of way about her leaving without saying goodbye. Instead, she sized up Viper again, watching as he straightened himself. There was something subservient about his mannerisms toward her, and she could not say that she hated it. Being treated as a superior being was always what Odessia had felt she deserved, and Viper was practically serving it up on a silver platter.
Her skin warmed beneath her fur when he called her "stunning," and Odessia puffed her chest out just a little bit more. He asked her to tell him about herself, and she wondered what sort of "about her" he wished to know. Talking about herself was something she could do quite easily when given the opportunity.
"Well, you already know my name. I come from a small pack about two moon cycles' travel from here. I left home when spring came around because I was bored of my family, bless their simple hearts. I felt I was born for bigger things than helping my younger siblings grow up, so I started walking north and made my way here, where I have been for, oh, about one moon cycle."
"I am guessing you do not have a mate, or...?" she asked, raising an eyebrow as she settled into a sit.
