i'm too impatient; set for june 1. :P

today is an exciting day for the trio of wolf cubs! as kogi awakes from one of his many long slumbers, his eyelids open to the world. his vision is still blurry and likely not very helpful at this point, but he can finally distinguish light from dark. his puppy-blue eyes are drawn to the mouth of the den, but instinct keeps him away from the world outside. too many predators would be willing to pluck the young cub from his mother.
kogi is quite a bit more animated than his first day as he bumbles from one end of the den to the other, soft whines seeking the attention of his mother. he is aware of his two siblings, though his sense of self has not adequately developed at this stage. he knows them only as mild inconveniences when he wishes for a warm meal to fill his belly.
