Redhawk Caldera sometimes I feel like I don't have a partner

Vikuthia stared at Towhee. Goddamn fuckwits. She blinked owlishly, then burst out laughing. She had never heard the warrior women of her home spoken of in that manner, and it tickled something in her, that others would feel the same way, that they would make her feel better about leaving. Surely, there was a better way. Surely, there were wolves who lived as families and not as units of soldiers.

You certainly sound wise to me, she said, feeling more confident now, her tail wagging. And then Towhee asked about pups. Uhh, she said, thinking. I don't have much experience with them. Only certain members of my pack were allowed to interact with pups, and I wasn't one of them. But I'm sure I could learn! I promise I'd be nice to them and not, you know, treat them how I was treated as a kid. Which was horribly. She released a nervous laugh, not sure how much this woman she barely knew wanted to hear about her traumatic childhood.
