The days passed quickly, each one filled by coupling with @Cambria multiple times, eating, sleeping, and repeating. Traveling, while she enjoyed it greatly, was overshadowed by the intense need to be close to her mate and to procreate. The only time he was out of her sight was when they slept, and even then, she was sure to remain in contact with him. The closeness was unlike anything she had ever felt in the past. It felt right. It felt natural.
Today, she could feel her hormones dwindling, but she had made sure to take advantage of even this last day, rousing Cambria awake at the break of dawn and insisting they get down to business no fewer than four times before the sun finally hung low in the sky. Her mate lay on his side, snoozing after their most recent endeavor. She realized now that she had already done what she had set out to do in the first place, and she gave him a lazy smile before resting her chin on his chest, the last bits of sunshine giving her a nice little halo.
