Sun Mote Copse squeeze

kogi's mother communicates with him, though he is still to young to truly comprehend. he does not yet know the word for "sun" though he perks up at the sound of his own nickname. this, he knows!
he bounds toward his mother, though it is more of a slow toddle than a gallop. he notes her tail, his eyes watching it before he goes for the kill. he pounces on the tail, missing by a wide margin. nevertheless, it is good practice for his growing brain and body to learn to coordinate himself.
