Kesuk was curled up next to Koda, her senses groggy with sleep. She lifted her chocolate head off her paws and looked up at Koda. She took a moment to just look at him. How his yellow eyes sparkled, the way his ears faded into a reddish color, the softness of his grey fur when it was pressed against her own dark brown fur. She reached up and gave him a soft kiss on the cheek, her tongue running across his velvety fur.

"Hey Koda? I need to tell you something." Kesuk began, her expression turning sad and regretful at the memory of the night she had left, the way she had snapped at him. It wasn't his fault and the way she must have made him feel made tears well up in her eyes. How could she do such a thing to someone she loved so much? She had to make it up to him. She just hoped he would forgive her.
