Time flew by, and before Odessia knew it, she was positively aching to have her pups on the ground. Her joints hurt. She was hot all the time. Her back ached. She had to pee six hundred times a day. She was grumpy, and she knew it. She did her best not to take it out on Cambria, who was ever-faithful in bringing her food and walking with her to get water. She had taken to soaking herself for the hottest part of the day, not even able to tolerate the den in the afternoon.
Then, something changed. For the last several hours, despite the heat, she had squirreled herself away in the den, lifting a lip whenever @Cambria came close. She shuffled and circled and dug and fluffed and eventually settled down long enough to push out two strikingly white-furred children: @Victoria and @Sophia.
Once she had successfully cleaned them, Odessia called out for her mate.
"Want to come meet them?" she asked, knowing he would not have gone far.
