Lesson learned, in truth — he would mind himself better around Kinusi, who clearly took her role as healer quite seriously. That was what a pack wanted in a healer, he supposed.

He was quiet too through her tirade, amused but a little nervous, too. He wasn't too worried about Kinusi losing a fight with the wisp, but he still worried she was carrying something that might easily be passed on through a bite. He held his tongue, though, and ducked his head again in acceptance.

"She's a healer, too," he replied. "Old and mean, too. But I'll keep her outta your way if I have to. I think it's worth getting her opinion on this girl. We don't know what she wants with Haedwig, after all."

He could well imagine this being some sort of revenge mission. Perhaps the old witch had put a withering curse on the girl.
