Ocean's Breath Plateau there goes my mind, let it go

The spot he'd chosen for a sleeping place was little more than a dip in the earth, a place where the tall grass could be flattened down into the soft beginnings of bedding. He'd yanked up some of the surrounding foliage to add the night before, just for good measure. Tonight, though, it was colder than it'd been.

Being a very stubborn man, and not always a very bright one, Grayday merely curled up more tightly and shivered through the cold. He had no intention of budging now that he'd gathered some scant warmth in his spot. In the morning, he told himself, he would make himself a warmer bed.

The night was far too vast and empty to go out wandering alone in it, after all.
