She hadn't shoved anyone out of the way, she hadn't been in the way of any work. Kinusi had overreacted by snapping at her right away. The old woman, for all her flaws, could be perfectly cooperative. She took her work seriously.

Besides that, she wasn't lying when she said that she knew Europia and her health best. She knew the nuances that came with the girl being a hybrid.
