Jade Fern Grove be a man

On winter days such as this one, it was hard not to miss home. Amadeus seeked comfort beneath the trees, paws moving through the grove in near silence. Angular face and downturned eyes were fixed ahead, as though he had a goal in mind.

But, there was no goal. Not today. Nothing more than the mission he had carried with him from the day he rose from Catula to Tiro.

The philosophy of his father promised that good things would come to Amadeus, a reward for his good deeds. That alone was enough to keep him moving forward.

Steps in the snow forced him to stop. Amadeus lifted his head, waiting to see what had come to him.
