With a window opened and their prey weak, Dione lunges for the throat. Her teeth sink in, merciless and hungry. The elk falters, and falls after a stretch of time that feels like seconds to Dione. She only releases once she is sure the elk will not move again.

She keeps her eye on the other woman as she leans down to sniff at the carcass. She plans to keep the hide, so long as it doesn't become too much trouble.
