"I'd like to see you try to get rid of me." Amusement pulled at the corners of his smile. Even so, there was a fierceness in his gaze that spoke volumes. Despite his joking tone, he wasn't playing around with her. The suggestion that he could just walk away from her was outrageous, but probably based on her own lived experience, as much as he hated to think of anyone treating her in such a way. 

"I mean it. Give it a try." His grin widened, and he encouraged her to run with a lusty snap by her flank.  He would give her a good head start before he took off after her, growling with delight and anticipation. Charging after her, his craving would build with every stride. 

By the time he closed their distance, he would be ravenous.
