Until he was old and incapable of travelling, the hybrid would remain as a rogue (unless, of course, he had a good enough reason to join a pack). “I guess we have run out of forest.” Her voice snapped the yearling away from his thoughts, thin legs instantly ceasing their movement as he allowed his seafoam gaze to settle on her. Already? Swallowing hard, he quickly redirected his gaze to his large forepaws, a frown cutting into his maw. If they didn’t part ways now Styx was worried he would never leave her side – which was a dangerous and foreign concept. “Oh,” he replied lamely, bright eyes still focused on his dark paws. “So we have.” Styx sure had a way with words.
