Still she came nearer and he shook his head at her. "Som, there's no need to get this close," he said, noting her nearly allergic reaction. "I'm fine. Go on, git."

And then Elwood appeared and pointed out the obvious. Peregrine rolled his eyes. "No shit, Sherlock," he quipped wryly, though he followed this remark with a smirk. "What the hell's wrong with the two of you? Are you gluttons for punishment? I'll be fine by myself for a few days until this wears off a little bit. Seriously," he finished, "go away, for your own good."
