Large and black. That could have described half the wolves in Teekon Wilds. Apparently, Tempest's father didn't have any defining features, and she didn't even know his name. Well, that was going to make it awfully difficult to figure out if a big black wolf was her father or not. Fox narrowed her eyes when Tempest pledged that no harm would come to Redhawk Caldera. She wondered if Bones had ever made the same vow.

“Good,” Fox replied in a brusque voice. “Have you met anybody else here?” she asked, doing her best to be amiable and friendly. It was just so difficult when all she wanted to do was shut herself away from everybody and spend the entire week with Peregrine.

Fox listened, disinterested, until she felt like she'd spent enough time not to come off as a complete butt, then made a beeline back to her lover.
