Day by day, with decent meals in her belly and a consistent place to rest, she was feeling more settled into life as a wolf of the Spine. They had been here almost a week, give or take, and so far she had done well to recharge and integrate quietly. Now, it was probably time to meet a few more wolves, so she branched out in her wandering about the territory. Usually she stayed near the heart of it all but today she headed closer to the borders.
Wyvern jogged along, nose low to the ground in case anything interested cropped up. She smelled a lot of various things, of course, and only some of the aromas were anything she could recognize -- her catalog of Spine wolf scents was still a work in progress after all. But, one stood out as fairly fresh so she casually began tracking it.

the diluted female whuffed when she spotted a white wolf just ahead. Her approach followed across the unfamiliar surface, so she was being particularly mindful of both her feet and her posture as she drew steadily closer.
