Within the week, it would become apparent whether or not they were around or truly gone, especially if Peregrine took the time to go looking for them.

For now, he didn't have time for that, nor the subject. Elwood readily agreed to the title, which put Mikael and Tempest out of the Alpha's mind. He seemed truly honored. Peregrine almost mentioned that he hoped Elwood would hook up with Finley to become the children's godfather, yet he didn't want to put any pressure on the Beta male in either department.
